Rural East Sussex Family Garden

An awkwardly shaped south facing site for a recently renovated 19th century Creamery overlooking the South Downs National Park.

 

A low maintenance yet playful Mediterranean influenced gravel garden for a young family with a focus on scent, structure and fluidity. The design includes an entertaining deck and patio that stretches the length of the back of the house, which is predominantly glazing that opens out to create a true indoor-outdoor living experience. A BBQ, Pizza oven and a herb garden are included next to the patio. The design includes structural and drought tolerant planting throughout, ornamental grasses, and of course plenty of English lavender!
